Mr. Askew is a managing partner of Graves, Horton, Askew & Johns, LLC a full-service law firm located in Washington, DC. Prior to founding GHAJ with three colleagues Mr. Askew was a partner at Watt, Tieder, Hoffar and Fitzgerald, LLP, one of the nation’s premiere construction and government contracts law firms.
Mr. Askew primarily provides litigation related services to entities involved in all aspects of public and private construction and government contracts. Additionally, he also regularly provides legal services related to the drafting and negotiation of such agreements.
Mr. Askew have been named to the Super Lawyers List of Construction Litigators in 2014 and 2015. He is also President of the National Center for children and Families Board of Trustees.
Prior to entering law school Mr. Askew worked as a design engineer on the Space Shuttle Program and in projects involving strategic defense satellite systems.
Mr. Askew holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland School of Engineering and a Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law where he graduated cum laude.
