Frank A. Mesa, possesses strong business qualifications with an impressive track record of more than 22 years of leadership experience in training, strategic planning, staff, program and project development and financial management.
Mr. Mesa is the Director, Operations Training & Development for New York MTA Metro-North Railroad, the second-largest and busiest commuter rail carrier in the nation. In his role, Mr. Mesa is responsible for all aspects training and developing, Maintenance of Way, Maintenance of Equipment and Transportation Department employees.
He has served on the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials – New York Chapter Board as VP of Rail, from 2006 – 2007 and again from 2014 – 2016. He also volunteered with the Interreligious Foundation for Community Organization (IFCO), Pastors for Peace from 2000 – 2001, assisting with the organization’s “friendshipment” to Cuba providing humanitarian aid to the Cuban people.
Frank received a Bachelor of Arts in Africana Studies from the University at Stony Brook in 1993, and a Certificate in Transportation Management from the City University of New York, in 2000. He also holds Master Trainer and Training Director Certifications and is a graduate of the Eno Center for Transportation Management’s Transit Mid-Manager Program.
He is very passionate about the Transportation industry because of the economic vitality and employment opportunities it provides communities, and the overall strength it gives to our region and country.
