New Flyer rolled up on the Bulldogs!

On Nov 16th, 2021, Anniston High School students got a first hand tour of a 35ft Electric Bus produced at New Flyer’s local facility, during an Employment Preparation and Resource Fair (EPARF) held at the AHS Career Tech Center. This opportunity was provided by the cooperative efforts of some of Anniston’s regional Community Based Organizations and Academic Institutions. They call themselves Team Pipeline and they get together at various venues within the community bringing resources and awareness to residents regardless of employments status, to help navigate the challenges of qualifying for, finding and keeping jobs.

New Flyer rolled up and showed off, in spectacular fashion. Demonstrating and describing nuances in bus manufacturing, uses, and surface transportation impact on communities and economies. AHS students, many of whom, have never even ridden a bus, were enthralled by the design, attention to detail, and tech features incorporated into the bus. It was a great day, and an awesome learning experience.
