PRESENTATION BY
DWAYNE C. SAMPSON
PRESIDENT & CEO TRANSPORTATION DIVERSITY COUNCIL
IT IS WITH GREAT PLEASURE THAT I STAND HERE BEFORE EACH OF YOU ON BEHALF OF TRANSPORTATION DIVERSITY COUNCIL AT TODAY’S MEMORIAL DAY 2013 CEREMONY IN HONOR OF AMERICA’S SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN WHO DIED DEFENDING OUR COUNTRY.
TO THE CHILDREN, SPOUSES, AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS WHO HAVE LOST THERE LOVED ONES IN THE ALTERMATE SACIFICE, WE THANK YOU! AND WE SALUTE YOU! ONCE YOUR LOVED ONE MADE THE DECISION TO WEAR THE UNIFORM, THEN COUNTY BECAME FIRST, AND THAT IS THE ULTIMATE SACIFICE ONE MAKES TO HELP SUSTAIN A PROUD, FREE, AND PROSPEROUS NATION.
I WOULD LIKE TO THANK DWIGHT WEBSTER AND THE TRANSIT VETERAN’S ASSOCIATION FOR ORGANIZATING THIS EVENT AS WELL OTHER CEREMONIES TAKING PLACE AT MTA NEW YORK CITY TRANSIT FACILITES. FURTHER, I WOULD LIKE TO RECOGIZE AND CONGRATULATE THE MTA AND ITS NOMINATED CHAIRMAN, MR. PRENTERGAST FOR THERE CONTINUOUS SUPPORT AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE PLIGHT OF VERTERAN’S AND THEIR VERY INDIVIUALIZED ISSUES AND CONCERNS AS A DIRECT RESULT OF THEIR SERVICE. MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND GOD BLESS AMERICA.
