Eugene Hucks

Assistant Vice President, Mentoring and Youth Services

Mr. Hucks is an employee with MTA New York City Transit since 2003 who has held a variety of positions and been charged with various responsibilities and is currently an Analyst for the Department of Subways.  New York City Transit is the largest public Transportation system in the nation and second largest in the world.  He is responsible for all aspects of Rapid Transportation Operation investigation regarding Train movement.

During Eugene’s educational and professional career as well as professional affiliations, he has acquired a wide range of professional experience and has developed a keen business sense that is fueled by improving internal infrastructures through employee engagement, consistent client relations, extensive industry study and a passion for achievement. In both hands-on roles and supervisory positions, he gained expertise in areas such as: training and Employee Development, Mentoring, Operational Effectiveness, Project Lifecycle Management, Team Leadership, Business Development, Employee Motivation, Student Development, Resource Management, Professional Development and Conflict Resolution.

During Eugene’s childhood he made the decision to become a very successful individual, nothing more, nothing less.  Through hard work and dedication he has been able to take the necessary steps all in an effort to make his dreams become a reality. He also an active volunteers and mentor to several professional organizations.

Eugene received his undergraduate degree from Long Island University with a Dual Bachelors of Science in Business Management and Marketing and his Masters degree in Transportation Management from the New York University-Poly where he served as the Transportation liaison for the Department of Engineering and Transportation.

He is a member of the Transportation Diversity Council- Co-Chair of Student Development, Young Transportation Professionals-Co-Chair of Special events, Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) NYU-Poly Chapter-Project Manager/ Advisor and COMTO-NY-Chair of Student Development.
